Lenovo has unveiled its latest two laptops, the IdeaPad U350, a stylish ultraportable machine, and Lenovo G550, a feature packed laptop aimed at the business market.
The IdeaPad U350 looks fantastic, is crafted from a silver metal and clearly has portability on its mind. Weighing in at only 1.6kg, the IdeaPad U350 is only 25mm deep, meaning it’ll fit inconspicuously into pretty much any bag or rucksack.
The 13.3-inch screen boasts a widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio meaning it should be great for watching movies, and also features LED technology so images should be bright, crisp and clear.
There’s a choice of processors, including Intel’s Core 2 Solo and Pentium processors, with up to 8GB of DDR3 memory available and a range of hard drives which top out at 500GB, providing plenty of room for all your folders and files.
The Lenovo G550 is a large business laptop with a 15.6-inch widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio screen. It will be powered by the latest Intel Centrino processor technology and boasts a dedicated nVidia graphics card which should make running multimedia base applications smooth.
An HDMI out port for connecting up to external monitors is included, as is Bluetooth.
While there is no pricing for the Lenovo G550 yet, the IdeaPad U350 will retail for around £449. In terms of release dates expect the G550 to hit the shelves in early June, while you’ll have to wait until July for the IdeaPad U350.
