We got the chance yesterday to have a play with Nokia’s recently announced smartphone – the E75 - a sleek and smart handset aimed at the corporate crowd.
The E75 is built in a similar vein to HTC’s S740, with a sliding QWERTY keyboard and a non-touchscreen 2.4-inch display. The Nokia has one key advantage over its rivals, however, as it’s considerably thinner than all of them. read more »
Earlier today I got the chance to play with several of Acer’s latest Tempo smartphones – including the DX900, M900, X960 and F900.
If struggling with model names is something that troubles you, then things are set to get considerably more complicated over 2009, with Acer set to release no less than 10 handsets. read more »
The DX900 is the first smartphone we’ve seen from Acer, following on from its acquisition of phone manufacturer E-TEN last year. It’s also the first Windows Mobile 6.1 device to support two SIM cards.
High-speed connectivity is provided by 3G/HSDPA technology, and the ability to use two SIM cards simultaneously means you’ll be able to have a single handset for both personal and business use. read more »
Last week marked the official launch of Samsung’s Omnia – a touchscreen smartphone with the ever-popular Apple iPhone firmly in its sights.
The Omnia turned up in our offices yesterday, and little work was done thereafter. It’s a smart looking phone, with a 3.2-inch display. The plastic casing can’t match the quality of the original iPhone, but it’s not far off the 3G iPhone. read more »
